A CAT has been banned from Twitter – for being too young.
Tiggy the Bengal has had his own account on the platform since he was just a few weeks old.
Owners Craig and Debz Stephens used it to show funny pictures and videos to his devoted 3,500 fans.
But they ran into trouble when they posted a sixth birthday message to the moggy this week and were suddenly kicked off the site.
Twitter bosses blocked the account and told them users had to be at least 13.
They’re now demanding to see government-issued ID before Tiggy can be reinstated.
Craig, from Edinburgh, said: “It’s crazy. This is a cat we’re talking about. There’s no way he’s going to have a driving licence or a passport.
“We’ve not had any issues for years and the page was just a bit of fun. He used to get a lot of messages from other cat owners.
“They’ll be wondering what’s happened to him because his account has just vanished overnight.”
Popular Tiggy got a lot of attention and firms even used to send his owners cat toys and products to try out in return for a plug.

The couple run a podcast business and there was some crossover as they used to make clips of Tiggy to show off their skills.
After they posted a message with some birthday balloons Twitter got in touch to say: “Your account @tiggerstephens has been locked.
“In order to create a Twitter account you must be at least 13 years old. Twitter has determined you do not meet these age requirements.”
Tiggy’s plight is similar to former US President Donald Trump who moaned after he was pulled from Twitter over his messages.
Craig, 53, and Debz, 55, wonder if the decision has something to do with Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk.
They’ve tried using their own personal details to get the ban removed but that hasn’t worked, because the names don’t match.
Craig said: “He’s become Tiggy Trump. None of it makes any sense and we just want him reinstated as soon as possible.
“He should never have been taken off in the first place. Is it down to Elon Musk? We think he’s off his head.”
Twitter has been approached for comment.
