After a convincing victory in midweek, will the United States make it two wins out of two in friendlies this month?

On Wednesday night, the U.S. welcomed African heavyweights Morocco to Cincinnati and ran out 3-0 winners.

The opening goal came mid-way through the first half when Christian Pulisic burst through, before putting it on a plate for Brendan Aaronson.

Timo Weah then doubled their lead with a long-range strike with Haji Wright, mere moments into his debut, firing home a spot-kick.

Gregg Berhalter tweaked his shape a little, deploying a somewhat-experimental line-up, but was rewarded with an excellent victory.

The Stars and Stripes face a pair of CONCACAF Nations League games after this one, hosting Grenada before visiting El Salvador.

So, in their toughest test of this four-game window, will USA claim another moral-boosting victory in Kansas?

As for Uruguay, having already beaten a CONCACAF heavyweight this week, can they complete the double?

On Thursday night, down in Arizona, la Celeste swatted aside Mexico 3-0 in the first of their three games this month.

Matías Vecino opened the scoring, before a quick-fire Edinson Cavani brace secured a comprehensive victory at State Farm Stadium.

This means Diego Alonso’s side have now won five consecutive matches, ending World Cup qualifying with four wins out of four.

The 1930 and 1950 World Champions last won six successive fixtures in 2018, going into the last World Cup, at which they reached the quarter-finals.

Will the U.S. claim a big scalp at Children’s Mercy Park or will Uruguay be too strong?

Centre-back Miles Robinson will miss the World Cup due to an ACL injury, while Weston McKennie is only just back after an injury of his own.

With regards to the former, Aaron Long looks set to be Walker Zimmerman’s partner, chosen over Cameron Carter-Vickers.

In goal, with Zack Steffen having withdrawn due to personal reasons, future Arsenal shot-stopper Matt Turner could start all four games this month.

At right-back, Reggie Cannon deputised for Sergiño Dest against Morocco and could start again, chosen over DeAndre Yedlin.

In attack, Jesús Ferreira looks set to be USA’s number nine for the World Cup with Haji Wright the only alternative in this squad.

Timo Weath, Christian Pulisic and Brenden Aaronson will be in support with Gio Reyna out injured.

Luis Suarez Uruguay World Cup

ROSTOV-ON-DON, RUSSIA – JUNE 20: Luis Suárez of Uruguay celebrates after scoring his team’s first goal during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia group A match between Uruguay and Saudi Arabia at Rostov Arena on June 20, 2018 in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. (Photo by Ryan Pierse/Getty Images)

35 year old striker Luis Suárez has been left out the squad, but is expected to return by the time the World Cup rolls around.

Edinson Cavani led the line, and scored twice, against Mexico, but Darwin Núñez and Maxi Gómez are more than useful alternatives.

Sergio Rochet is likely to start a sixth successive international in goal, making his debut at the start of this sequence.

Veteran Fernando Muslera is yet to feature since Diego Alonso took over as manager, despite having 131 caps to his name.

Barcelona’s Ronald Araújo was taken off injured on Thursday, so Damián Suárez is set to come in at right-back.

In the middle, José María Giménez and Sebastián Coates will get another chance to perfect their partnership with Diego Godín out of favour.

Rodrigo Bentancur hasn’t been called up, but Fede Valverde, Lucas Torreira and Matías Vecino form a more than solid midfield trio.
