Most recently, police said the man allegedly took the left shoe of a woman who was inside her home in Queens. This took place at 12:15 p.m. on May 24.

According to data compiled by the New York Police Department, there have been nearly 20,000 reports of grand larceny city-wide to date.

In addition to the grand larcenies that have been reported, more than 44,000 petit larcenies have been reported so far this year city-wide.

The data that is available also includes reports on robberies, felony assaults and burglaries.

This is not the only time the New York Police Department solicited information in partnership with Crime Stoppers as it related to investigations.

A police chase that took place after officers tried to pull a car over a car with excessively tinted windows resulted in at least 11 injuries.

The car reportedly tried to drive away but hit seven other cars before escaping.

A video showed the car hitting other vehicles before it managed to drive away, but the driver eventually abandoned it a few blocks away.

Another investigation involved a shirtless man that allegedly threw scalding hot liquid unprovoked at a stranger, which resulted in the victim suffering from second-degree burns.

A video captured the moment that the shirtless man ran up behind the victim before pouring the liquid on his back. The victim turned around quickly before falling backward and collapsing.

The department shared another video showing a person approaching a group of people outside of a deli before he began firing a weapon.

Four individuals were injured in the incident, but none of them were critically injured.
